Principal Harpist of one of Sweden´s leading Orchestras, Norrköping Symphony Orchestra, a very active soloist hailed by critics for her “wonderful and powerful sound, her natural musicality and her flawless technique”, Delphine Constantin-Reznik belongs doubtless to one of today´s most prominent representant of her instrument in Scandinavia and Europe.

Often praised for her warm and powerful sound, her natural musicality and flawless technique, the french harpist Delphine Constantin-Reznik belongs without a doubt to one of today´s most prominent representant of her instrument based in Scandinavia.

She has been occupying since ten years the Principal Harp´s chair of one of Sweden´s leading orchestras, Norrköping Symphony Orchestra, exciting ensemble who´s chief conductors has included Franz Welser-Möst , Herbert Blomstedt, Okko Kamu and other worldclass conductors.

Mrs Constantin-Reznik is also is a very active soloist, who has on her repertoire most of the major harp Concertos (Haëndel, Mozart, Boëldieu, Glière, Debussy, Rodrigo, Renié etc) that she is regularly invited to perform together with such orchestras as the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine, Kharkiv Philharmonic, Minsk Chamber Orchestra, Argovia Philharmonic, Pori Sinfonietta (Finland), Dalasinfonietta and Västerås Sinfonietta (Sweden), Akademisches Orchester Zurich, and of course her own orchestra, Norrköping Symphony Orchestra. Last June, she had the honour to collaborate with her former teacher Catherine Michel, playing the ”Concertino for two harps” by E.Parish-Alvars together with Kharkiv Philharmonic in Ukraine.

She is regularly invited to perform recitals and chamber music concerts with various formations at festivals and prestigious venues in countries like France (”Journées de la Harpe” in Arles, Debussy´s House in Saint-Germain-en-Laye), Switzerland, Norway (Asker Chamber Music Festival, Fjord Cadenza Festival) Lithuania (at major classical music festivals in Kaunas, Palanga), Italy, Spain (Caprichos Musicales de Comillas), Belgium (Namur Baroque Festival), Hong Kong (World Harp Congress) and Sweden (Royal Church of Stockholm, Aurora Music Festival, Kalmar Castle)

As guest principal harp, she is collaborating with most scandinavian leading orchestras such as among others Stockholm Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Swedish Royal Opera, Oslo Philharmonic, the National Orchestra of Sweden, the Norwegian Opera, the Swedish Chamber Orchestra, Bergen Philharmonic, and was also appointed back in 2007 guest principal harp for a one-season contract at the Basel Symphony Orchestra in Switzerland.

In addition, Delphine Constantin-Reznik is often invited by the Royal Swedish Court to perform for the Royal Family in private or public venues (often live- streamed on Swedish Television), and the Swedish radio P2 broadcasted a program about her in 2013.

She also was invited to be a jury member at the International Harp Competition « Glowing Harp » in Kharkiv, Ukraine, that was held in the winter of 2017.

Mrs Constantin-Reznik is passionate about developing the repertoire of the harp and works closely with different composers. In April 2017, she performed the world premiere of the « Double Concerto for Bassoon and Harp » by the norwegian composer Kjell Marcussen in Oslo, together with the Minsk Chamber Orchestra and her husband Roman Reznik on the bassoon.

Together they also released in 2016 their first CD,« Baroque Masterpieces for Bassoon and Harp » ( Naxos, Nilento Records), a nostalgic trip through 18th century Europe where these two rare instruments unite in a fascinating sound full of contrasts. The disc was acclaimed by the critics in various music magazines and is often played on swedish radio.

Born in Paris, Mrs Constantin-Reznik was educated in the french harp tradition, first in Boulogne-Billancourt National Conservatory and then at the Zurich Academy of Arts, and graduated with High Distinctions from both schools. Her teachers were Annie Fontaine and Catherine Michel.

During her studies, she won awards at various National and International Competitions in among other places France (Royaume de la Musique, UFAM), Switzerland ( Migros Foundation Culture Price, Schenk Competition) and Germany (J.Reinl International Harp Competition) and has been a member of prestigious youth orchestras such as the Gustav Mahler Jugend Orchester and the French Youth Orchestra, which whom she toured Europe´s most prestigious concert halls.

Throughout the years, she also got tremendous musical inspiration through Masterclasses and lessons with, among others, harpists like Xavier DeMaistre, Marie-Pierre Langlamet, Isabelle Perrin and Petra Van Der Heide.

Delphine Constantin-Reznik is also since a couple of years member of the Quartett ”Ensemble International” ( viola, cello, bassoon and harp), a chamber group based in Norway, that explores new musical combinatinons, working also closely with several composers and touring at major festivals in Scandinavia, the Baltic Countries and Eastern Europe.

She is passionate about putting her knowledge and experience at the service of the younger generations and has been teaching harp, chamber music and music theory as well as giving masterclasses since an early age in France, Switzerland ( teaching position at the Kloten Musikschule between 2006 and 2008),Scandinavia, Ukraine. Delphine Constantin-Reznik has just been appointed harp teacher of the Lunnevads National Youth Music College (Lunnevads Folkhögskola)in Vikingstad, Sweden.
